John Eyolfson is the Coordinator of Science in the Cherry Creek School District located in Centennial, Colorado just outside of Denver. He spent 12 years in the classroom teaching chemistry and physics, during which time he received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
Over the past 13 years, he has designed and implemented professional learning initiatives, and he was an instructional coach for technology focusing on teaching and learning. His present position focuses his attention on K-12 science; specifically, implementing best practices around STEM education with the integration of Common Core State Standards Mathematics and English Language Arts.
John is a graduate of the 2009 Learning Forward Academy, and he chaired the host committee for the 2012 Learning Forward Summer Conference in Denver. John presently serves as trustee on Learning Forward’s Board of Trustees.
